2.Swedish Hasbeens Clogs- I think these would make a wonderful birthday gift :)
3.Reflections of Christ- I would love to frame this image of Christ for our home but they're pretty pricey so I might just buy the book of all the images and have that on our bookshelf for display.
4. Anthropologie time- being around pretty things makes me feel more creative and actually motivated to get dressed and look put together on the daily.
5. I wish diapers were cheaper or potty training easier :)
6. PILATES... I miss teaching..i miss abs...i miss doing workouts... a few more weeks and its time to get back into it and I'm determined to find a class to teach or start my own.

Henry is a month old already!!
He has been a wonderful baby so far and we love having him in our home.I think were all doing pretty well with the changes. Sure, getting out of the door takes a bit longer, I feel tired everyday and frustrated that a lot of clothes don't fit, and Hazel is starting to get cabin fever- but we're doing pretty well!
My recovery was so easy and i have my check-up next week. I started running slowly last week and it feels so good to get out and go, even if its slower. Hazel just loves being a big sister and does great during the day as long as she gets one-on-one time with me sometime during the morning. I'm so grateful for visiting teachers, ward members, and friends- they have really made our family feel special and taken care of.

Henry at ONE month
- You recently found your little voice and are starting to make the sweetest little sounds
- loves eating mamas milk- too much! He just started spitting up after almost every feeding and I think its because he's getting too full. I'm just going to start watching the clock during each feeding.
- Goes to bed between 8 and 8:30 at night and usually wakes up two or three times until 7 am.
- Taking three pretty routine naps each day (My favorite is the 12-2ish nap during Hazel's naptime too)
- Has blue eyes still
- You can tell when he's about to fill up his diaper because his little fists are always clenched tightly by his sides.
- Has learned to love warm baths, but cries every time i get him dressed or undressed.
- Wearing size 1 diapers (they're a bit big but they were on sale)
- Starting to wear 0-3 month clothes but they're pretty big on you.
- At two weeks old he was up a full pound and had grown an entire inch!

Last night for Family Home Evening we decided to go to the library to bring some books home for the week. Pretty routine but then as we drove by the library and saw the parking lot completely empty we remembered it was a holiday! darn.
So off to Half-Price books for some daddy-daughter story time. We had a fun time. When it was about time to get going we smelt a poopy diaper from Hazel so off to the car we went. As I put her in her carseat and reached my hand underneath her to grab the buckle that she was sitting on I was instantly mortified. I pulled my hand out and it was covered in poop! I pulled Hazel out of the carseat to realize that it was completely up her back and covering the carseat.
It was really gross...too many raisins the last few days I guess :)

I made her stand up in the trunk of the car to strip her down and put a new diaper on her- but it was about 30 degrees and she was freezing standing there with no clothes on, so we just put a clean diaper over her messy one and borrowed Henrys warmest blanket. Luckily we live 1/2 mile from the bookstore so we just buckled her up with a real seatbelt and headed home.

I cleaned up completely, Hazel took a bath, and her clothes and the carseat went in the wash. Everything is clean this morning and good as new, but I couldn't help but think one day (probably pretty soon) Brice and I will laugh at this little experience, but for now Hazel gets no raisins and maybe I will just put an extra outfit for both kids in the car.

Sorry, but no pictures!
My sister Melanie, her husband Kris, and their daughter Savvy came to visit us over the last weekend. Brice took off paternity days so we spent our days doing fun things around Dallas.
On Friday we went to IFLY, an indoor skydiving experience. Brice and Kris to to do it a couple of times. It was definitely a cool experience!
We went to dinner with Lisa And Ryan Taylor (cousin) and loved catching up all together.
On Friday, we went to the Zoo and enjoyed an afternoon at the park. The weather was in the 70's so we were able to soak up some Vitamin D. Not e to self- add sunscreen to the grocery list (summer will be here before we know it!)
On Saturday we drove to Fort Worth to see the historic StockYards. It was fun to see the little cattle drive and enjoy the western scene. We decided it was hyped up too much and not that much to actually do unless you want to pay $5.00 for a picture (we'd rather not!) It was fun to see Hazel and Savvy enjoy the animals though!

thanks for visiting guys! We miss being so close to you!

Hey Brice,
Remember when you got on one knee and asked me to marry you? That was awesome.
It's so weird to think that was 5 years ago and look at everything that has happened since. We've had two kids, internships, jobs, a new car, we live in a different state, we've taken trips to visit family, we've been to Costa Rica, we've made a lot of friends, and we've grown a lot as a couple.
Thank you for asking me to be your wife and for loving me despite my many flaws and insecurities.
Happy Valentines Day!
-B

^Hazel with ANY dog we see while out walking( luckily this was a dog of people we knew)^

^ I did for a fact actually get dressed once this week^

^Some of us are more tired than others^

^Hazel has already gotten "multi-tasking" down! I guess shes noticed that i do most of my eating on the couch too^

^ She really does LOVE holding him^

^tummy time- or nap time^

^ I spray painted some of those cheapo ABC magnet letters and Hazel has loved playing with them while I am in the kitchen^

^Hazel got her first official hair cut (they only charged me for a bang trim and it took approximately 3 minutes) but she loved the whole experience...obviously^

^ A late night trip to Home Depot for wood^

^ our little man (who is already up a full pound)^

^He's a cute little guy^

 NOT PICTURED:
1. A Minnie Mouse birthday party
2. Breann in every outfit of "sweats" that I own.
3. Brice looking so grateful for ward members bringing dinner
4. Late night/ early morning nursing sessions
5. Hours of walking--- and desperately hoping for more clothes to fit :/

1. This Glider caught my eye especially now that I'm up several times a night to nurse- the price is just too much so I'm looking for something similar (but more reasonable)
2. I need a little more storage in our living room for toys/books/home goods so after mentioning to Brice how much I liked this mid-century modern piece he started whipping up plans to build it. Good thing he has a week and half more of paternity leave.
3. A good nights sleep!! Who am I kidding, this is by far the most wanted thing out of this list. Henry is such a good baby but he loves to eat and that doesn't change at night.
4.New Clothes- I'm so ready to not be in a style funk anymore- there's no need for me to look fancy everyday but I've gotten entirely too comfortable LAZY and have lost all desire, sense of style, and confidence if I'm being honest. I've been pinning outfits like crazy and hopefully in a few weeks I can actually start shopping/getting dressed/ feeling good again!
5. Everyday Sneakers- these are actually being bought tonight!
6. Salt-waters for Hazel- we bought these sandals for Hazel this last summer and they were Brice's favorite toddler shoe ever- practical and they stay on! They're a little bit of a splurge (for kids shoes) so I'm going to check a few consignment stores first that friends have had good luck at!
