1. learned how to swim this week on her own.
2. We did a week of swim lessons and she's got it down.
3. Loved swinging on the swings at Magnolia Market in Waco.
4. Got ice cream from Grandma and Grandpa 3 times last week and just loved their company.
5. Is so eager to make new friends. Yesterday afternoon at the pool she went right up to some people and said "Hi, I'm Hazel and I'm three and a half."
6. Gets super excited on the evenings I don't teach classes.
7. Wished in a wishing fountain for a new car and new shoes. #priorities
8. Asks so many questions and is just wanting to learn things so badly.

1. His big swimming highlights are blowing bubbles, floating by himself, and putting his head in the water.
2. He loved snuggling with Grandma and Papa all week.
3. Has ripped two library books this week.
4. can now say water and snack.
5. His size 5 shoes are too tight so time for some new sneakers. Loves putting away our shoes in the evening for us.
6. Every night when he's done with dinner he chucks his spoon or fork so hard. We cannot get him to stop, but I want him to use a utensil.

1. Got a new pair of shoes so she was eager to model for pictures today.
2. Yesterday we walked 4 miles round trip to the mall and she kept saying, "man sitting in the stroller is so hard."
3. Hazel has so much energy that it drives me crazy inside, all the jumping, spinning, building, climbing, running- it makes me really wish we had a backyard to let her just go crazy in.
4. She's been remembering things a lot lately and likes to talk about past events and memories.
5. Our scripture of the week talked about "immortality" so she asked me everyday for a week about death and if I was going to die. it was insightful and tender. She also told me her stuffed puppy died even though we just lost it.
6. Loves to clean up her toys as long as she can do it like mommy does- FAST!
7. She can scooter so fast now and loves to tell herself up the hills "I think I can...I think I can..." its hilarious.
8. She has gotten so much easier at dinnertime and will eat whatever is put in front of her. She still dislikes things of course but mostly avocado and rice.

1. That look. seriously. his blue eyes and extra long eyelashes. seriously.
2. I weaned him mostly this last week. I decided to go cold turkey and didn't nurse him for 4 days but my milk was not going down so I nursed him once and it all emptied out. now its seriously almost entirely gone but I've been nursing him just before bed for the snuggling. He can go down with or without that one nursing session which I am really proud of.
3. He doesn't like cows milk (just like Hazel) but loves his yogurt and cheese.
4. He can walk up and down the stairs outside now.
5. He loves to hold hands or sit on my lap.
6. Has figured out that his crane and dump truck have wheels and "vrooms" them all around now. how do boys just now how to do that?
7. When he's naughty its usually something going on in the bathroom- throwing things in the toilet, unraveling all the toilet paper, shutting the door behind himself, or climbing up the stool.

This week was great but i'm too tired!
We were up this morning at 5:45 so we could go running together, but it was so worth it! Having that time to talk together has been great for us and the running endorphin's aren't too shabby either. *Brice and I have been trying for several weeks to run together on Saturday mornings but i hadn't been having any luck finding an available babysitter who was willing to be here by 6:30. We got lucky yesterday and we're finally able to go! It was so worth paying a babysitter! I hadn't run outside all week, we woke up to a cool 66* and practically no humidity, and we had a great time together!  I felt giddy all day! Brice has a 13 mile run scheduled for two weeks from now so hopefully we can go again together!
Brice isn't sure if he likes running yet but he hasn't missed a scheduled workout and he's consistently getting his times faster and faster. I hope that the cooler weather will put a little spring in his step.
Overall it was a great week of workouts for me.
Brice and I have decided to run a half-marathon together n November. It will be in Lehi, Utah since we'll be there for Thanksgiving with my family. Two weeks into Brice's training schedule and he's doing great! Here's what my week looked like.

I'm 6-7 weeks postpartum and feel like I've found my stride. (knock on wood)
Henry wakes up once a night, so were still working on that but I feel like I've gotten my energy, appetite, and personality back. I've started drinking smoothies again for breakfast and I just love how I don't feel too full but I feel energized. Insanity kicks my butt, but that feels good and running is getting better and easier.
I'm so glad I try to stay active during pregnancy because it makes all the difference for me postpartum.
JANUARY
- I completed my last pregnant run yesterday (1/19/15) of 4 miles. I felt fine actually but just decided I'm done!
- The weather has been in the 60's the last few days so Hazel and I have been out walking(2-10 miles) almost everyday, mostly just for fresh air but none of it is putting me into labor so I'm just enjoying the time with my little bug.
-Total miles run in January: 219
- Weeks of Pregnancy: 38-41

-Total weight gained: 24 pounds (the exact same as with Hazel)
- I REALLY REALLY want to run a marathon this year- so well see!

At 36 weeks pregnant with baby #2 I have surprised myself by still running as much as I am. Honestly, the motivation to go is definitely slipping but during and after my runs I feel so good! I can't believe I'm full-term now.
During my pregnancy with Hazel I ran until 2 days before my induction and felt great during labor and recovery so I guess that is sort of my plan again... but I think I'm gonna go ahead and start scaling back a bit (even if I feel great!)
I am so grateful that I've been able to run so well during pregnancy but don't let the numbers fool you- it isn't a breeze and I have had to keep myself motivated more than ever before!

After moving to Dallas I've had to make some adjustments to my workout schedule. Basically my only time to exercise out of the house is in the morning bfore Brice leaves for work. The last few weeks I've been out the door by 6:15 am. It feels so early, but to be honest I love exercising at the very beginning of each day.

I feel a little off balanced as far as cardio and strength training because I usually only have time to do my run an not much else. I try to do ab workouts, squats, lunges, or insanity with Hazel around but then I feel bad for not giving her my undivided attention... it will be okay though. Monday was the first time I've done insanity in a month or so and I was SO SO sore all week!

Lastly, the last few Saturdays I've done a longer run around White Rock Lake. It is a beautiful trail around the lake and is about 9.5 miles around. So I usually add on a bit and it feels so good! there are hundreds of runners, running clubs, bikers, and walkers and I love the atmosphere so much! I really need to find a running buddy!
