Sometimes four p.m rolls around and I look at our weekly menu and whatever meal I have planned for that night just doesn't sound good. Combine that with Brice's excellent pizza dough and you have a family that's been eating homemade pizza on Saturday nights!

We add whatever we have in the fridge- this week half was sausage, pepperoni, and cheese (Brice's half) and the other half was chicken, artichokes, and cheese (Breann's half).

And Hazel enjoyed her dinner naked!
...i just love her eyes in this picture...

Hazel and I drove down to Las Vegas this weekend for a very short little vacation. Melanie, Kris, Hazel and I stayed at a resort a few minutes out of the strip area. It felt like we were on a tropical island. We spent our time watching Aunt Chelsea play soccer, (she scored the winning goal in her first game!), shopping at the outlets, trying out her new swimusit, and swimming for the first time! Everyone loved being with Hazel and I was so grateful for a weekend away from the snow and school! Thank you Mom and Dad for helping us surprise Chelsea and thank you Melanie and Kris for making the trip happen!

I know it doesn't look like it but Hazel was loving the water. She was kicking those legs around and loved being in the pool. I think she was a little unsure about the sand under her feet though.

Lastly, It was just our luck- the GAP outlet was having a 50% off everything sale on Saturday (Gap may be my favorite store-but not the cheapest so its a treat). Hazel and I loved spending some of my birthday money on some new clothes.
Icing on the cake guys.
This girl is making us happier and happier!
This girl is almost sitting up on her own.
This girl is laughing and smiling at everyone.
This girl is about to go on her first roadtrip! ahh
This girl makes me so happy!

Every night we put Hazel in her crib in the exact same position- in the middle of her crib, on her back, tucked in by a few blankets and a heavier (unmatching) one for heat! Every morning we wake up and she's in a completely different position. We laugh because she sleeps through the night but obviously she's having a party and just not telling us about it!

enjoy!

I know I say this every month but I really cannot believe another entire month and come and gone.

Our sweet Hazel is now 5 months old!
This was taken after a cold walk to the duck pond south of campus. Her little pink nose makes me feel bad!

Staying busy on the floor with exciting toys. This babe loves her some tummy time.

Michelle and Ryan- these two are for you. Thank you for the cute little sleeper- we had a good laugh one night.

Tidbits to Remember:
-She's rolling over like a pro. Front-to-back and back-to-front.
-If she sees a toy she wants she turns to get it. She's pretty content playing on the floors with a few toys.
-Loves being outside.
-She grabs for everything!
-This girl is drooling like cray-cray right now! We have a feeling that teeth are just around the corner.
-Hazel goes to bed every night between 8:30- 9:00 p.m. and wakes up between 8:00-9:00 a.m. She seriously is the best sleeper and we are so so grateful!
-She is still taking two naps a day.
-Last week she had a rough little cough/runny nose but she's back to her happy self.
-She started taking her binkie and bottle better again (she wasn't taking either for two or so weeks but it must have been because her little nose was so stuffed up!)
-Finally, she is getting so good at smiling and giggling and it melts our hearts. When Brice walks in the door, I say "daddy's home" and she turns towards him and gives a big cheesy smile!
-If we put her binkie in her hand she can put it in her mouth correctly by herself. Speaking of binkie she's been doing this silly thing and sticking it in her mouth but only on the side and she tries to chew on it with her tongue. It's pretty silly!
