Saturday: 10 mile hike up Mt. Timpanogos

I was glad I cut back on running so that Saturday could be enjoyable!
Weekly running total : 37 miles
Total miles this year 1368

We spent most of the day today hiking Mt. Timpanogos. We started at the trail head at Aspen Grove and made it up to the "Saddle" and back down in 7 hours (10 miles round trip)!
We were so close to the summit but we had a time restraint to get home, Brice had three fresh blisters, and I think we were all satisfied with the burn in our legs!
Maybe we'll do it again but I don't think Brice or I will volunteer anytime soon ;)

Thank you Kris for adventuring with us and a big thank you to Melanie for watching Hazel for the whole day!
Sunday evenings couples from our ward gather on our apartment front lawn and we chat, play games, eat treats for a few hours. It is so fun and enjoyable to be out during the summer evenings. This last Sunday Hazel played a lot with Aiden and learned how to go down the slide...kinda!
She is getting more and more adventurous and I cannot believe she's almost a year!

^^Look at that smile^^

Here's last weeks' workouts- more for me than anyone else!

Tuesday: 6 miles and Insanity Cardio Circuit
Wednesday: 10 miles
Thursday: 7 miles in 52 minutes
Friday: 12 miles plus ab workout (using stability ball)
Saturday: 7 miles, easy outside
Sunday: REST!

This week's total miles: 52
Miles this year: 1331

August 13, 2010 we were married and sealed for eternity and now its three years later.
It seems like we were babies but deciding to marry Brice has been the best decision of my life. We're still learning things about each other, learning how to be parents and better spouses, and learning how to love more unconditionally, but I'm happy to be learning with my best friend.
We don't do big grand anniversary plans- but its still a special day.

 I love you Brice.
You are a wonderful husband and such a loving father. You are so smart and witty and funny. You are such a good example of faith and obedience. You are such a football fan and such a supporter of me! You are quick to get on the floor and play with Hazel and quick to suggest a motorcycle ride. You are easy to talk to and the only person that makes me feel safe and secure no matter what.
I cannot believe Hazel is almost a year old already! This last month has far been the most adventurous and exciting.

-Weight: 17 pounds (23%)
-Height: 28 inches (43%)
-Head Circumference: 17 inches (21%)
- Hazel is walking! I don't mean a few steps here and there, but full on walking. we need to get her some new shoes and then she'll be walking on the concrete outside too.
- Currently cutting her 4th tooth- the 2nd one on top
- Still goes to bed at 8:00 and wakes up between 6:40- 7:40.
-Smells like sunscreen every day because we swim a lot! She loves the pool
- Started waving goodbye and saying ba- ba at the same time.
- Hazel loves to play with older kids.
-Wearing mostly 6-12 month clothing but 3-6 month pants fit better still.
- It's getting easier to change her diaper again- for a while there she was so squirmy and it was a difficult task.
-Says "da-da", ma-ma", "pop-pop" "ba-ba", and loves to squeal and giggle
- loves to explore and open cupboards and pick grass/flowers when we're outside.
-She's starting to like the stroller again
- She loves to take all the cards out of Brice's wallet and fan them around.
- this girl loves music, being sung to,and dancing to the beat. She does a really good head-bangin.
-Bring a smile to our faces everyday!!

One day late, but here's last week recap. I let Insanity fall to the side as unpacking and catching up with friends took priority...but I don't feel bad about it at all.

Monday: Moving Day- no miles but my arms were sore!
Tuesday: 8 miles nice and easy
Wednesday: 8 miles easy plus 4  more miles in intervals.
Thursday: 5 miles at 7:30 pace
Friday: 7 miles
Saturday: 8 miles on the treadmill in 64 minutes before Hazel or Brice woke up!

Total: 40 miles...pretty average for me
On Friday night we attended a good friend, Tim Cooper's wedding reception. It was one of those summer backyard perfect receptions. We are so excited for him and his new bride. Hazel loved the dance floor and even got Brice out there to join her!

Welcome to married life- it's the best!

Yesterday we needed a break from unpacking and moving in so we decided to head to the park. It had cooled down quite a bit so I figured we'd be there until Hazel's bath/bedtime. She was not interested at all. It took longer to walk to the park than the amount of time we stayed there.
She wasn't feeling the swing.... but this girl is mobile! She is all about walking and moving on her own now! It takes people by surprise because she is so petite!

This is me catching up. We've had a lot going on the last two weeks and there are absolutely no complaints about it. These pictures pretty much sum up a few hours at the Microsoft IT Family Picnic. It was great to meet the people Brice worked with all summer and enjoy the summer day outside!

This is Lake Sammamish. I spent Saturdays running around it and admiring all the gorgeous houses.
^Seriously how Beautiful is this^
