We had such a great trip to Utah for Thanksgiving this year!

Flying over driving started the trip off on the right foot :)

While we were in Utah we got to visit Pear Johnson, Grandma Wilde, Nana, David and Michelle and their family, The Hunters, the Shermans, and Heather Hammond. Heather gave a free cougar ice cream coupon to Hazel and became her favorite BYU friend. We were able to see the Wrights and have dinner with them which really just brought back a lot of great school memories.

We ran our half-marathon, enjoyed a yummy turkey dinner, relaxed and watched Hazel love on Savvy. Haze loved all the attention she got from Uncle Jared and Aunt Chelsea too!
We had family pictures taken at Gardner Village- I was freezing in my dress but I think the pictures turned out great! Its nice to see our family growing and to see everyone together at once.

On Saturday Brice and I left the kids the entire day and drove up to cold, cold, Logan for the BYU vs UTAH STATE football game. It was an exciting game with a lot of scoring, snow, and being the visiting team at their stadium. It really was a much needed and a fun day just the two of us.

We were sure to eat at our favorites, stock up on chocolate covered cinnamon bears, and really take stock of what we were thankful for.

Hazel and I had a little "girls trip" (her words by the way) and snuck away for a few pictures of just us girls. I cannot believe she will be three next week!
She made me a mom for the first time and i still remember how we were so nervous and anxious about everything going on in our lives, but truly she was the biggest blessing and the Lord's timing is always right.
The whole family is coming along tonight for some overdue family pictures- I hope it goes well! We have yet to get pictures as a family of four!

a BIG thank- you to my sweet friend Heather! She's here in Dallas and awesome!

I realize I've been a little m.i.a. lately, but the truth is we were all just settling into routines. In the last few weeks my parents came to visit, my little sister, Chelsea, started college (what!!?), football season started, we spent a quick but warm weekend in St. George, and the career fair/intramural games have taken over Brice's evenings.
I've been running a lot, and that doesn't include chasing after Hazel all day and planning a first birthday! Were looking forward to General Conference this weekend and our traditional pizza palooza! I'll get back into blogging again too!!
For now here's a preview of new family pictures :)

Hazel is already four months old!

-Giggling, smiling, and talking up a storm!
-loves music and t.v
-loves her tongue. She wont suck on her pacifier anymore she just holds it in her mouth and plays with her tongue

We celebrated our first year of marriage over a month ago and I was dying for some new pictures of both of us. And not the kind where Brice holds the camera in his hand and reaches out as far in front of us as he can, and then we squish our heads together so we'll both fit. Sometimes those pictures work just fine. But not this time. We called Paige Wright at Adventures with Walter, an awesome cousin and fancy photographer. We kept it low key in Springville only trespassing once...sorry we didn't find more off-limit places hun! Now its time to pick our favorites and hang them right above our couch on our homemade shelves. DIY shelves next post promise!
