:: hazel ::

1. woke up on her birthday almost in tears saying "did I grow too much?" We assured her that her clothes and pj's still fit!

2. loved having a park day with friends to celebrate.

3. She even helped me make "toddler party mix" which means I just threw together m&ms, candy corn, honey chex, and pretzels.

4. Got totally spoiled with an Aurora doll, stickers book, a backpack, new books, and 8 horses and their own stables.

5. Sharing new toys is not going well today though.

6. In her bedtime prayer last night she asked for "Jesus to say Happy Birthday to her." Kids say the funniest things.

:: henry ::

1. He knows exactly what he's doing to get on her nerves- and mine.

2. Will eat anything lately and doesn't stop. I feel like I'm always saying that but seriously cannot keep enough food in the house for a week.

3. He has been sitting on the potty all week. He hasn't actually gone but he always tries and then 5 minutes later poops in his diaper.

4. Is imitating us and the characters in books so much. its so cute.

5. He loves emptying out baskets to use them as a stool.

6. Also, I feel like he's grown up in that dang stroller.

1. has started saying "no" to me a lot and i really don't like it.

2. keeps asking about her birthday and wants to see October 5th on my calandar.

3. has become obsessed with Spanish and calls us madre and padre

4. loves story-time, doing gymanstics tricks, and having playdates.

5. is getting so many mosquito bites this last week

6. her favorite bedtime song... a peanut sat on a railroad track...

7. talked me into buying paints and brushes this week.

:: henry ::

1. figured out how to climb out of his crib so we've been getting some early morning visits.

2. ruins every pile of laundry I fold without hesitation.

3. loves following Hazel around and trying to keep up with her.

4. loves finding construction equipment trucks outside.

5. learned how to somersault and say tah-da (which just sounds like a grunt)

6. likes to be read to now and loves pointing at familiar things

7. seriously obsessed with him in suspenders.

:: hazel ::

1. her imagination and creativity is so fun to watch right now.

2. Has her first crush on a boy from Primary.

3. She told me yesterday that "she just wanted to hold Brian's hand and take him to the temple and be his mommy."

4. loves jumping on my bed before I make it each morning.

5. She's getting a little too particular about how things are cut up or served. I'm more accommodating but Brice is always telling me not to give her what she wants.

6. wants a peanut butter and honey sandwich everyday for lunch.

:: henry ::

1. This little guy- seriously look at the face, runny nose and all.

2. Big news- we took his binki away last Saturday- he's adjusted just fine.

3. I think he's ready to drop his morning nap now.

4. Loves waving goodbye to Brice over the railing every morning.

5. Can go up and down the stairs by himself now.

6. loves balls and has a good arm and a good kick! He's in his element when were outside playing.

:: hazel ::

1. does not stop talking. She will ask me a question, start talking again, and then say what?

2. obsessed with peanut butter and honey sandwiches AND her primary class.

3. can spell her name now. and scooter on her own. climbs trees.

4. I think she still has fluid in her ear because on Sunday night she was crying so hard about her ear hurting. It hasn't bothered her since but I'm thinking those ears are just not all cleared up.

5. "Mommy, did you know...." she comes up with the silliest and smartest things to tell me.

1. all of a sudden he is obsessed with playing with toys.

2. loves unplugging everything, throwing things, and his binki.

3. This week he's broken two of my favorite Crate and Barrel serving bowls and a measuring cup all while I'm trying to make dinner in our five feet of kitchen.

4. Always plays for a few minutes in his crib happily before he starts fussing for me.

5. Henry s so ticklish on his upper thigh.

:: hazel ::

1. keeps asking to go back to Savvy's house.

2. Along with telling stories and making up characters, Hazel loves to sing!

3. She is loving reading "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" but absolutely insists that the Whos' "roast beast" is a turkey.

4. is climbing on everything. Already this morning I've asked her to get off of the counters, the fridge, and the door handle.

5. She woke up at 6:00 am and just laid on the couch watching the Christmas lights. I came out 15 minutes later to nurse Henry and found her just laying there. I was so confused, but I guess Henry's crying woke her up but she looked outside and said it was still dark.

6. Her feet have grown so much the last few months- size 8 is now tight.

7. yet she still wears 2T pants.

8. Keeps asking who each present is for, but hasn't grasped the idea that Santa brings presents. She doesn't really ask for anything.

:: henry ::

1. is taking steps all day every day!

2. was not happy to get his picture taken instead of getting milk.
3. i'm pretty sure his favorite time of day is dinner time. He loves to eat anything.
4. is doing surprisingly well leaving the Christmas tree alone.
5. still loves the stroller and is such a trooper going on walks everyday.
6. is totally in that stage of getting into everything. The cupboards, toiletries, fridge, t.p.- things are starting to get messy around here.
7. opposite of Hazel- he is still wearing mostly 3/6 months with an occasional 6-12 month outfit, I'm having to buy warmer clothes in these smaller sizes because what i have prepped for him is way too big!
