Happy Easter from our little family!
It was fun to make little Easter baskets for Hazel and Henry this year. Hazel got a new swimsuit and sunglasses and some eggs filled with fruit snacks! We never buy them so she was pretty excited to see those. Henry's basket had sunglasses and bunny snacks with a few eggs too!

It sure is fun celebrating holidays with kids around. Thanks Grandma Montgomery for helping with Hazel's outfit! It's just too fun to dress these babes up.

More importantly, we're so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ. We've tried to take advantage to teach Hazel a little about the Savior's love for each of us and about the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. She understands quite a bit but mostly just asks everyone if they're going to die soon.
She really must be contemplating what we tell her because this week she asked Brice "if animals come back and get their bodies again after they die?" This started of course because of the dead duck on the road that stirred a week of questions. woof. And then today in church there was an older man sitting behind us, maybe 60 years old and Hazel turned to me and said, "Mom, he's old- he is going to die soon." I hurried to distract her and quiet her voice and I told her that he wasn't very old yet just older than us and she replied "No, mom- look at his hands. they're old."
out of the mouth of babes, right?!

We were so lucky to be able to spend a few days with several of Brice's siblings in Gatlinburg,Tennessee. We stayed at a cabin up high on a hill just outside of the Smoky Mountains National Park. It was a beautiful area, and it seemed like everyday longer we were there- the trees became more green and full.

Hazel loved spending time with her dozen cousins- running, playing soccer, hot-tubing, playing air hockey, and just playing the way little cousins do!
She continues asking for them everyday now that we're home.

We enjoyed hiking, exploring streams and ravines, doing crafts, building matchstick rockets (Brice's project for the boys), celebrating Easter with an egg hunt, catching up with everyone, and visiting the Ripley's Aquarium. The aquarium was actually pretty cool and it was easy to spend a few hours there on a rainy day!

Thanks Emily for organizing the trip- we were so glad to come, even with a 14 hour drive. Which by the way went pretty great both ways with two small children, but I need a long break from road trips!
Jes  Because Jesus Christ is the Savior of all Mankind- it is possible for us to live with God again

We are so grateful for the true knowledge of the gospel and for our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Because of him we can live this life to the fullest and live again with God.
Today our little family enjoyed little Easter baskets and a little too much chocolate :)

Something about Easter and Spring makes you hopeful and happy!
I know we love the spring colors, the sunny skies, the time with family, but most importantly we are so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. What a miracle it was that he rose from the dead and how grateful we are today- for a living Christ!
We enjoyed our Sunday worship, dinner with family, and a few sweet treats!

Hazel enjoyed scooting all over the place. This girl can scoot backwards all day and is trying to get up on her knees to go forward. So far she's only moving backwards though and we're glad...its easier to keep track of her this way :)
