Congrats to the class of 2014- especially to Brice!
He now officially has his Bachelors degree in Information Technology and a job to back it up!

She was so excited to see her daddy!

Hazel and I got him a ticket to an upcoming MLS soccer game and a treat we never buy!

Before we leave Utah and cozy little Provo we have a few "bucket-list" items to get crossed off.

This weekend we watched the BYU Womens soccer team scrimmage against Utah and it was so nice to be out in the sun. Brice and I enjoyed watching the game and Hazel was thrilled to have so many stairs to climb up and down. That little girl has now mastered going up stairs on her own two feet without holding onto anything and going down like such a lady holding a railing. #itsthelittlethings

After the game I finally sucked it up  was forced and went to this little Chilean restaurant in Provo that Brice has been asking over and over for us to try. It wasn't scary- it was good and the couple that owned the restaurant were so sweet and watching them do their thing made me happy. I ordered my own food and shared it with Hazelbug and we all survived!

I don't ever mean to be a big stinker about food but i have likes and dislikes and on the weekends after I've cooked for Brice all week sometimes I just want to pick a place to eat at and not be all adventurous. Does that make me the worst? I really don't think so...

After dinner we had a few couples over for games and chatting and it was so fun! I have loved the friends we have made here and really hope we all keep up on each others lives. We are really going to miss so many people but we are so excited to start a life in Dallas!
1. This last week has been a busy one.
We're so glad its Brice's last week of college classes
He's doing great in his classes and on all of his projects but he is so ready to be done and you know what-I I don't blame him at all.

2. We really enjoyed General Conference and I especially loved THIS talk by President Uchtdorf.

Hazel napped entirely through the second session on Sunday so Brice and I accidentally did some napping too. We'll have to start re-watching that session for FHE .

3. I am starting to get a little nostalgic about moving (don't worry we're all excited too) and feeling a little left out here in Provo so emotionally this week has been kinda hard. I quickly started re-reading my FAVORITE memoir by Stephanie Nielsen. This is like the 4th time I've read her book but it really reminds me of the joys I feel and strive for each day.

“Happiness was my choice, and though it is hard-won, I am the only person who can stand in the way of it.”
― Stephanie NielsonHeaven Is Here: An Incredible Story of Hope, Triumph, and Everyday Joy

4. Last night, Brice bit the bullet and posted his motorcycle for sale and within an hour we had cash in our hands. We did not expect it to sell so quickly but now it's another thing I can cross of my list of to-dos.

5. The sun has been shining the last few days and it is amazing what it does for my soul to feel the warmth on my skin. I am glad we're moving to Texas and not Seattle.

6. The last little while with Hazel has been wonderful. We enjoy one another's company and rely on each other so much throughout the day. She is so chatty and silly and loving. I love being a mom-her mom! There are times when I lose my patience or am tired of reading the same books to her- but I feel blessed to have her and blessed to have given birth to her.

This week was the beginning of Brice's last semester of college!! He's been in school too long and is really looking forward to beginning a career...which by the way is still unknown. Anyone know of any Information Technology jobs?!?

Hazel loves being with her daddy....

but got really sad when he needed to leave...

but Mommy is always there to try and cheer her up! Oh- and always Mr.Fox!

I can remember my first day in Provo.
My parents moved me into my apartment at Wyview, I met two new roommates (both of whom I loved), my parents took me grocery shopping and then dropped me off at New Student Orientation. It is embarrassing to admit, but I sat in my parents car for like twenty minutes...crying... I did not want to get out and go alone. It's so silly looking back because I loved orientation. I liked my roommates, I survived my classes that first year, etc....but I felt too young to be doing such an adult thing.
GOING TO COLLEGE!
Fast forward 5 years, which really does feel like its flown by and I'm done. I couldn't be happier to be done with classes, homework, and especially exams in the testing center (dun..dun..dun...)but at the same time feel oh so lucky to have a college education, to graduate with no debt, and to have experienced a secular and spiritual level of higher learning!

Thank you to all my family members an in-laws, friends, and teachers for your encouragement and support. And thank you to wonderful friends/babysitters- I would not have done it without you! :)

Tomorrow is the big day. I couldn't be more excited for the long ceremony.

On Wednesday night Hazel got to join us at her first BYU Basketball game. She slept through most of it, except when we started scoring a lot- she would wake up looking very concerned. It was really fun to get out and do something fun together.

Thursday morning we woke up and hiked the Y
For the first half I carried Hazel in the baby Bijou. It felt like I was pregnant all over again and traded Brice for the backpack. Hazel was wonderful and fell asleep for most of the hike. I couldn't believe how exhausting the hike was for me...and I was quick to tell Brice..probably too often too! I've been running more and more each week but oh boy!! It felt really good to be sore the next few days!

I didn't get any pictures but we really enjoyed spending our Saturday night with Hannah and Andrew and the Wright Family. They made our favorites for dinner and spent the evening playing games with us. We played a few fun paper games and then played a few rounds of Murder in the Dark in the basement. Playing that game brought back a lot of fun memories for Brice and I.
(Thanks Davo and Whitney for the weekend at the cabin.)

We were really grateful for the few days off from school. Two more weeks and then its Christmas Break!
I cannot believe how fast the last few weeks have gone by. Hazel is already a month old and we are a week away from Thanksgiving break. I just finished my application for April graduation from BYU and will only have 8.0 credits next semester to graduate. I will also be teaching Pilates again for BYU. Brice continues to work hard at his job, in his classes, and on his motorcycle!

It is so fun for me to watch Brice with our babe. As I type this he is giving her a bath and telling her how beautiful she is. He is a wonderful husband and father. Life seems to be keeping us busy and on our toes!

The timing belt on the jetta broke so we were forced into using most of our savings to pay for it.  I guess those "rainy days" come and we'll start saving and preparing for the next one that is sure to come!

Hazel at ONE month
- Goes to bed between 9:00 and 9:30 and sleeps until 3:00. Eats and goes back to sleep until 6:30-8:00. We are so grateful she is a good sleeper!
- Comes to classes with me on Weds and is so good!
- Smiles a lot now, but mostly at Brice :)
- Recognizes our voices
- Outgrew newborn diapers last week
- Is eating well and takes a bottle easily when we need her to
- Can hold her head up for quite a long time
- Loves being outside and falls asleep in her stroller as soon as I start jogging
- Has a pretty sad case of baby acne

Looking back I realize the last few posts have only been about Hazel, but what can I say... she is my best buddy and the most important (and time consuming) thing in our lives!

Saturday night we went to the BYU game with our good friends- Kyle, Crystal, Trey, and Kajsa. BYU lost but it was a fun night.

Monday night we went to the JAZZ game with Melanie and Kris! It was such an exciting game. Utah was down the whole game until the 4th quarter and then they pulled through!

Basketball has kept us busy..along with everything else

Here at BYU, intramural sports are kinda a big deal.
We've both played on several teams including soccer, kickball, ultimate frisbee, and flag football. Brice has been lucky enough to play in 3 championship games but never walked away with a shirt. Today was a good day. The wards' flag football team left with a victory and the most coveted shirt on campus- an Intramural Champions shirt! It was a lot of fun to watch the boys play throughout the season..boys working hard..wives chatting it up with hot coco on the sidelines.
Today, my soccer team also won our semi-finals game so Weds we play in the championship. How lovely it would be if we both got shirts this time around! Good Job Hershey's Kisses!
(Our Bishop is Blair Hershey, so Brice used his wit and came up with the name.)

This weekend we stayed busy with sporting events! Friday night we went to the BYU vs University Central Florida football game! We went with our cool friends, The Catts. Check out her blog Life Full of People she's sweet, crafty, a good talker, and one of my closest friends. The boys really enjoyed the game, all their hooping and hollering and stomping, Michelle and I tried to sing the fight song, and well the little girl next to us really wasn't enjoying it at all.

On Saturday we cleaned, worked-out, ate chips, and went to the UVU vs Montana soccer game. A sweet friend from high school, Kristen is a keeper for Montana and she invited us to come watch. We were happy to lay a blanket out on the grass and watch the game.
Sunday was calm with early church, meetings, and home/visiting teaching. Skyping and napping of course.
P.S. Brice just helped me create this table and make it all fancy using HTML. Now I can cross that off my bucket list and never do it again!

Football.
College football for that matter.
It's big in our house- mostly husband though.Last weekend we had a rough time. BYU lost to Texas and IOWA lost to Iowa State. It was a sad night around here. Thankfully, tomorrow BYU takes on those clowns up at UTAH and we're going to beat um! I can feel it! I sure hope Iowa wins too because then I could probably drag Brice to frozen yogurt to celebrate! Looking forward to an afternoon of watching football with my husband- hope Brice is happy after all of it!
Go cougars and hawkeyes!
1. School is back. Brice and I are both excited about our classes this semester. Mr. Smarty-pants himself already challenged out of one of his IT classes. So he gets the 3 credits hours, but doesn't have to do anything more for the class.

2. Running...always on my mind!

3. Registration for the Boston Marathon is in 14 days...

3. Canon EOS Rebel SLR... remember that money we just got? I should save it but this is just on my mind 24/7. And now we have a blog so our pictures really should be better quality, right? Click here to find out why I'm so excited.

4. Pilates. I'm teaching three Pilates classes a week now...2 for BYU and one for a dance studio close by! I love being paid to exercise!

5. babies. babies. babies.
