This is me catching up. We've had a lot going on the last two weeks and there are absolutely no complaints about it. These pictures pretty much sum up a few hours at the Microsoft IT Family Picnic. It was great to meet the people Brice worked with all summer and enjoy the summer day outside!

This is Lake Sammamish. I spent Saturdays running around it and admiring all the gorgeous houses.
^Seriously how Beautiful is this^

Today is Brice's last day as an Intern at Microsoft. Yesterday his department had a family picnic/outdoor party. There was yummy food, the beautiful lake,a DJ, games, bounce-houses, kettle corn, gift cards to win, and unlimited ice cream. Hazel mostly was concerned about the ice cream and she took matters into her own hands- literally!

Our friends Carly and Kyle have the cutest little bird. I thought Hazel would be nervous around the tiny bird but she loved him! We had to snap a few pictures before she tried to squeeze him ;)

p.s. this girl is walking like a pro-...its exciting and terrifying at the same time. She hardly seems like a baby anymore.

Our 4th of July was filled with fun friends, festive foods, BBQ, boccie ball, and sitting lakeside on Washington Lake.

My sweet friend Alyssa invited us to hangout and eat with her family

We're taking Hazel on her first camping trip tonight- so excited for time with new friends, hiking, and yummy s'mores!
On Wednesday we got together with a few other BYU Interns working at Microsoft to go on an adventure. We managed to enjoy evening rush-hour traffic on the 520 so we could take the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. Once we were on the island we drove right to Mora's ice cream.

Hazel loved hanging out with Brice on the ferry!

The BEST ice cream we have ever had! Hazel enjoyed a few licks too!

We really enjoyed the night out on the town, getting to know a few more BYU people, and the treat! man- it really was that good!
We spent our Memorial day enjoying the Pacific Science Center with our good friends Nathan and Naomi. It was such a fun hands-on museum and Hazel and Brice especially loved all the over-stimulation. There were lots of exhibits to be explored. Some of our favorites were the Health and Wellness area, the Space and planet stuff, and the fun mirrors.

I'd say everyone had a good time.
After the Discovery Center we enjoyed dinner at Ivers Fish Market and checked out the fish mongers and beautiful fresh flowers and produce at Pikes Peak Market
Sorry no pictures, camera died by this point.

Most importantly we are are so grateful for the servicemen and women who sacrifice so much to serve our country and protect our freedoms. We live in a blessed country and we are so grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy! We love the USA!

We decided to do a little car shopping this morning!

We got Brice's first paycheck from Microsoft and thought what the heck- lets go get a new car! Too bad all the cars we looked at today were a little out of our budget.

okay okay it was the Redmond Exotic Car Show and we were only looking :)

There were lots of fun cars an Brice really enjoyed telling me and Hazel about them- until we stopped listening at least!

My favorite part of the day was noticing that GAP is having a major sale this holiday weekend!

We are loving Redmond so far. The overcast mornings (perfect for cool early running) and sunny afternoons.  I like that there's shopping close by- Target, Trader Joes, the Redmond Town Center. I like that Brice works a mile away. I like our apartment. Its much larger than our Provo home, has a washer and dryer, two bathrooms, and nice furnishings. We even have a little porch.
I'm missing  some of our decor and bright pops of color around the house though.

So for now it feels like more of a hotel but home is wherever we are.

Plus, our Provo apartment is already gutted out! I hope someone will go snap a picture for me through the window :)
